Play-cation

The Children’s Museum and Theater of Maine is a first stop for learning, playing and, yeah, getting out of the house, for local families. But with Portland’s tourism industry continuing to boom, the Museum sought to position itself as a must-do for out-of-state visitors, too.

So we created “Play in Maine,” a digital and social video campaign that shows how memories made through play at the Museum become priceless vacation souvenirs. By layering whimsical animation over footage of real kids playing their way in the Museum’s spaces, the videos became colorful, moving postcards poised to inspire travelers young and old to rethink their Maine-cation itineraries.

The result? One more (very fun) reason to visit Portland.
